Where did this scene go?

I remember a scene of all the girls driving in a car talking to Fern asking how she is so skinny, and they ask her if she is anorexic or bulimic, and Fern says "I'm just skinny" and Diane says "I hate you" or something like that. I just watched this on Netflix and I never saw that scene........was it a scene just played on TV?

I own the dvd and have watched it countless times and have never seen this scene??

Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.

reply

I remember that scene too. They're in the van on their way from Fern's place. I honestly don't remember if I saw it on (dunh dunh dunh) VHS or TV, but I do remember that scene...

reply

I remember this scene. I've only seen it on VHS so I'm not sure if it's on the DVD.

reply

Ooh, I forgot about that scene- that's weird. I wonder why they would have cut it?

Ditto for yesterday.

reply

It's on the cut that's on YouTube.

reply

It's on the cut version on FX, but not on the DVD...which is weird.

reply

It's on my dvd. I'm watching it right now.

reply

It's on my dvd as well. They are driving in the van.

reply

It's definitely on my DVD after they pick her up.

The DVD is an extended cut, not the theatrical cut. Another scene that's missing in the theatrical cut, is the mom and her "Double Ds". I'm shocked as this extended cut is only 81 mins!!

reply

That's hilarious. I own the DVD. Just watched it again a few days ago, and that scene isn't in the film I saw.

Its funny because in Drop Dead Gorgeous, another black comedy from that time featuring a mostly female cast, she plays a former pageant winner on the verge of death from anorexia. Its very funny.

reply

The anorexia scene in "Sugar and Spice" is a reference to the character she plays in "Drop Dead Gorgeous". They were both written by the same woman (although her name was dropped from the "Sugar and Spice" credits).

I watched this on Showtime last week and I wondered the same thing. I have seen this movie so many times and it was deleted and so was another one right after this one...they are in Kansas's basement and her grandma asks if the retarded girl is with them and says she will leave them more cookies...that was cut out too.
