Does anyone else really appreciate the cinematography in this?

I like this movie for many reasons: it's funny, it's clever, TONS of eye-candy for everyone..etc.

I also really like that it's a well shot movie. The lighting, the colors, the unique angles, the wide frame, the tone, the fact that they shot on super 35mm for a dark teen comedy; it all really makes me appreciate it more.

I just wish that they would've gone a bit darker. Also even though the ending's pretty hilarious- just the fact that the reprehensible popular kids [the villains in every other teen movie] win in the end is really funny to me- I would've have minded watching them crash and burn either.

I agree about the cinematography.
But why cant popular kids be "good guys"? They were all nice people for the most part. And each of the cheerleaders sort of came from a different clique anyways...

This has been on TV a lot lately and I agree, the cinematography is very pop art and unique for its time.

It's a decent movie, though tone-wise it can't quite decide if it wants to be Babysitter's Club or Heathers.
