the voices of the young clint eastwood and tommy lee jones. the actors playin them sounds jus like them. i think they dubbed them.

i totally just thought the same thing.
i thought those voices sounded familiar, but it looked nothing like them.

i think they altered them some how.. or maybe did find some actors who sounded like them haha

that struck me too.i really want to find out if it was dubbed or not.no mention of it on the imdb trivia section though :(

It has been added to the IMDB trivia since your post. They did dub it.

Have fun. Lifes' too friggin' short.

.... OFC they dubbed them, don´t be silly.

i can't believe all the people here asking this question. it is very obvious what they did. wow!!

I've noticed that there's something alot of ppl don't realize. With very few exceptions, every single line in every film you've ever seen is "dubbed". It's called looping and they have to do it because on-set mics just won't capture a studio quality recording. Even if they did (or when they do), they probably still loop those lines just for consistency.

But you're right - they did dub in the older actors' voices over the youngers' lines.

And not just the dialogue. Every sound is re-recorded as in foley editing.

reply

Phooey! Next you’re gonna try to convince me that they didn’t really film this in space.

Ignoring the fact you clearly recognize the voices, it was a tool to help the viewer recognize who the younger versions were,Kinda hard for the average viewer to determine who the roles of jerk, hero, techy, boss, and other roles were as they went along, I found it alittle disturbing myself until i thought about it a little later, it was an original way of doing the common flashback technique.

this movie is so underrated.
