As was i, but we can still hope!, this is one franchise, that has got to be made into a movie. Come on hollywood, what are you waiting for, we want Metroid on the big screen!!

don't see how that would work, they'd need to have her talking at some point. And any leading actress would not be pleased that they just have their face shown in the final minutes of the film.....plus you can see her face through her helmet visor.

yet it is true it may not be such a good idea to reveal that samus is a heroine til the end of the film, the idea still stands that we need a metroid movie on the big screen, the series has so much of a history, it is inevitable that it should hit the big screen altogether,, with so much of a history, and so much of a timeline between all titles, the metroid genre deserves its shot among the big screen..hail to samus, hail to any director with the balls enough to bring this series to the cinema...hail hollywood...are you listening??

Was Samus' gender really a secret in the universe of the game, or just to the player until the end? I can imagine a Metroid movie not sticking to a particular game's canon or timeline, and possibly starting out with Samus engaged in a battle and then discovered to be female, and then for the rest of the movie she is herself in and out of the suit.
As for suggesting Kristanna Loken or anyone, keep in mind they are actresses and think beyond just typecasting someone just because of a previous role.
