Metroid has aged VERY badly.

We have to admit, this a very poorly designed game that was even badly dated in the early 90's. If it had not been for Metroid II and Super Metroid(both of which are very well desgined), by the early 00's this game would likely have become to be regarded as one of the worst video games ever made similar to Deadly Towers which was a best seller during it's time as well as had good reviews at the time but which is now widely considered one of the worst games of all time.
