Who in here feels guilty about

Using the multi-hit exploit?

Personally, I used it one time (that stupid rock boss at the end of the first Dr. Wily stage) and that was because I ran out of options. There is literally NO OTHER WAY to beat that thing. I felt bad about it, and I swore I'd never use it again. I resisted the temptation the rest of the way through the game.

Just go back and do it again without the multi-hit glitch. You might feel better

I used to always use the multi-hit glitch on the original Nintendo (and emulator) until I got it on the Playstation 2 collection. I was determined to beat it, and since the PS2 version doesn't have the glitch, I was left with no choice.

It took a couple tries, but it wasn't nearly as "impossible" as I thought it would be. A touch challenging, but nothing exceptional. I've never used the glitch since and it is a lot more fun.

As for the rock boss (Yellow Devil), he has a VERY EXACT pattern that never changes. Only jump over the bottom two blocks and refrain from jumping when the top two go (they'll go right over your head.) There'll also be a time when two from the bottom go at the same time and you have to jump over them both. Pay attention to the pattern, learn it, and you can beat him without even getting hit. It NEVER changes or alters.

Go back and do it buster-only. No pause trick, nothing. Then you will be redeemed.

The only time I ever used it was to test that it worked. I didn't know about it until it turned up in Nintendo Power. By then, I had become such an expert at the game that I don't need the exploit.

And it can be done without the glitch. That's how I learned how to do. And in the Anniversary Collection, you have to learn how to beat it.
