One of the things about this movie that really makes it a great dark comedy is how Ellen is constantly drinking booze, knowing she's pregnant all along. She even gets champagne to celebrate the pregancy! It's just one of those idiosyncracies that the directors tossed in that gives the movie such a dark, surreal feeling.
sharewell you´re right but i also think that it´s incorrect to show such a thing because you really shouldn´t drink when you´re pregnant but this movie is unlogical all along so it doesn´t matter *lol* i love this movie and neve campbell was great as ellen :-)
sharewomen drank for centuries while pregnant. it was only during the last few decades that it went far enough to ruin even the most expensive champagne
bottles, low end beer and rot gut whiskey, with that pregnant women warning.
if a woman wants a glass of wine with her meal in a restaurant so be it, pregnant or not. i come from an Italian background. wine was an important part of the meal. the french would rather drink wine than water with their meals,
pregnant or not. america has tried prohibition, it failed, get over it.
