Was Au Pair based on a book?

I thought I read some where that this story was initally based on a book. I'm not necessarily talking about The Sound of Music though. Any ideas?

Hi TS,

Thanks for writing in. I wrote all three "Au Pair" movies. They were actually very loosely based (clearly) on a summer job I had back in college as a male nanny. I hope you enjoyed the films. They were a joy to work on.
