Parallels with Star Wars

I loved this when I was a kid, now I'm older I can see how heavily it was influenced by Star Wars. At least in terms of characters. Here are just a few:

Bucky O'Hare = Han Solo (well, he was the captain of the ship)
Jenny = Princess Leia
Bruiser = Chewbacca
Toadborg = Darth Vader
Komplex = The Emporer

There are other obvious ones as well. Anyone wanna try guessing what they are?

reply

Al Nagator = Boba Fett
Blinky = C3PO
That rabbit that was Bucky's mentor in one Episode = Obi Wan
Comander Dogstar = I've forgotern tha name of the character. That alien general in Return of the Jedi. The one who went on the Melenium Falcoln with Lando.

I think you're referring to Nien Nunb, who was Lando's co-pilot. But the "alien general" was Admiral Ackbar. Dogstar is more likely Lando himself, since he's Bucky's old comrade in arms.

As for Al being Boba Fett...I love how everyone always equates any mercenary character in any sci-fi series to Fett. About all they have in common is they both work for money, but whereas Boba is a bounty hunter, Al is a spy and a thief for the most part.

About the only other one that's even remotely a parralel to Star Wars would be the Air Marshall, who could be considered like Grand Moff Tarkin. But then, Toadborg is also Tarkin-like in the way he bosses the Air Marshall around, which means there's som of Vader in the Air Marshall too.

And Blinky is more like R2-D2 thank C-3PO.

I always thought bucky was like Luke Skywalker and dead eye duck was Han solo.
Bruiser and blinky are c3PO and R2D2.

there may be a boogie man or boogie men in the house:Homer Simpson.

Pretty much every work of science fiction in the 80s and early 90s had influences from Star Wars in some way or another.
