Is this movie, Vengeance of the Space Pirate, the dubbed and heavily-edited version of Arcadia Of My Youth http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084881/ ?
If yes, how did Vengeance come out first in 1978 while Arcadia came out second in 1982?
This movie has nothing to do with Vengeance of the Space Pirate, or Arcadia of My Youth. It is a 35 minute featurette that was spun off of the 1978 Space Pirate Harlock TV series. Most of the IMDB info here is wrong, and all of the commentators are posting about the wrong movie. As of this writing, I've been unsuccessful in getting them to fix it. Note that this film is titled "Mystery of the Arcadia;" the two titles only share one word in common. I don't why there's been so much confusion.
