1) when Adrian forces him onto a bus and his blood splashes over the two guys the blood is in the shape of 666
2) when Nicky is scoring during the halftime as he is about to put the ball through the net 666 appears on the scoring screen

It was mistranslated. Depending on what version of Bible you read, the number could be 666, 616, or heck, even 161. The only way to truly know is to buy either a non-denominational Bible, or one that has the original Hebrew and Greek text in it along with the correct and unchanged, and not mistranslated translation in it.
