This is my favorite Adam Sandler movie. The music and story were great! It was damn funny too. I was shocked to see the rating.

Even though I'm a Christian I can understand the whole "balance between good and evil" plot that was going on so that didn't really bother me, but it was just so...immature and inappropriate. Moreso than Sandlers other performances. A lot of "jokes" could have been left out and whatnot.

Because it is a pretty dumb movie. Thing is, its meant to be. Its not like this is a pretentious attempt at being clever. Its dumb and it wears its dumbness on its sleeve like a badge of honour. Thats gets right up the noses of snobs.
shareYeah, I agree. Some people just can't sit down and enjoy a goofy, funny movie once in a while, and I don't know why. I thought this one was a stitch personally; I about had a heart attack when Ozzy showed up!
shareI haven't laughed as hard at an Adam Sandler movie since the first time I saw Happy Gilmore. I don't know why I had put off seeing this one but it was definitely one of the best Sandler movies.

The reason it is rated so low:
it's just a really annoying film. I'd even take Click over this film.
Because uptight fundamentalist christians can't take a joke,and mind you beofre anyone starts a stupid rant about my own beliefs I' consider myself christian,furthermore the movie was suppose to be goofey and I know I can say this b/c I don't dig Will Ferrell its not b/c he isn't funny but he just doesn't make me laugh its just my taste but I hate when people get on here and completely butcher someones statements without even making a valid arguement or stating a sane version of their own.Its immature and shows their true thoughts without even expressing them.Just my thoughts though even though I know someone will do what i just ranted about!

shareWhen I first saw it I didn't care for it at.all. By upon further viewings, I have come to really like it and the humour it contains. C'mon.. no love for Nicky and his dumb voice saying "My dad is from the south. Deep south.*snicker*snicker*" ?
