The movie was made in 1999 and not everyone had a cell phone that they carried around with them the way they do now. The movie was made 14 or 15 years ago!
shareExactly! I am not affluent but would probably be considered 'middle class' and have a cell phone...but I did not have one in 1999!
shareI agree and to add to this... on a desolate, woodsy road you would GET NO SERVICE at all. even now in 2013 there are areas where my parents just moved from in Westchester where cell phone service is SKETCHY at best.
