Why was this little girl
riding a bike on this dangerous road . I mean this part was a stretch .

Did you notice the girl had no helmit. She is decked out in a raincoat and no helmit!!!
What is even more of a stretch is the actual play out of the scene of the accident. The car doesn't physically hit her. The girl swerves out of the way.
Take a look at the beginning of hte movie when Joanna drops her kids off at school. "sweetie... sweetie... you dropped something..." The girl looks at her with the *oddest* expression on her face. No smile, no thank you, just this "what the hell do you want from me" look.

The little girl isn't an idiot, her parents are.
No child that age should be riding a bike (without a helmet, like you said - nor, any ID) on a windy, 2 lane highway - in a storm, no less?!? Social services should have been all over that in the ER, as well as dealing with her urgent medical needs
But remember its based on reality. The messy part of reality is that the system doesn't always do as it should or as we want. I can't believe that every time I watch this, I keep hoping Joanna will do the right thing and fess up.

Johanna was stuck between a rock and a very hard place during the beginning of this... she was going to move her to take her to the hospital but then remembered NOT to touch her just in case... then she went to call for help. then she goes back to see what she can do and there are people there already... one dickhead said ... hit and run. 'and they just left her...' who wants to fess up after that???
here is the question I have . HOW CAN THIS GUY KNOW THAT IT WAS A HIT AND RUN??? so there was a witness?? why couldn't the girl have fell. slipped on the mud and hit her head BECAUSE SHE WASN'T WEARING A HELMIT!!!
later on Johanna is losing it with the earring and those things but to be honest, the guilt lies on many people here, not just on Johanna.

Well they did say that she 'got caught' in the storm. But then...whey did she have a raincoat on? Geez, in 1999 I barely let my kids ride their bikes down our court alone, much less down a long and windy road in the middle of the woods!
shareIf I could jump in here on a rainy day in a town where the women apparently have nothing better to do than have leisurely ladies lunches and plan parties and PTA get togethers the mom didn't get off of her fanny and go collect her child or arrange to have her picked up? WTH?
shareI agree with MyMotleyCrew. I barely let my daughter ride her bike up and down the street in front of our house, and only if I was outside watching.
