i think that yu yu hakusho is one of the best cartoon series, i would like to know if you can download english episodes from kazaa. If any of you's have msn do not hessitate to add me if you want to have lengthy convosations with me about yu yu hakusho. My hotmail is [email protected].
I think it's the best, except for Transformers, Futurama, Inu-Yasha, Cowboy Bebop, and Dexter. But it beats all of those into the ground. Poltergeist Report rocks!!!(that's what yu yu hakusho translates to, by the way)

YYH imho is the best series. It has eveything that makes a shouen good. It goes up and beyond the limits. The villians have nice back grounds...A demonLord hellbent on taking earth, a killer wanting power, a toguro i dunno, Sensui was well...psycho. That man...is far from normal, he sin't evil just really, really, really screwed up. Yomi...angry. Mukuro...i dunno since the last arc sucked.
Really...i liked it, compared to stuff like Bleach its a billion times better.
Just for the record, anime and cartoons aren't the same thing. I've just never considered them the same things.
Though I do agree that YYH is one of the best animated shows I had ever seen (That I shall never deny)
I've watched YYH for the first time in the year of 1997.Now,in 2006,I watched again,and I still like the anime,but yet,it has many flaws.The dialogue is weak and the screenplay has some boring parts.

The manga is much better.
Of course, since animes tend to leave tou a lot of important and interesting things.
The only thing that gets to me about the manga is that with the way the characters are drawn (big faces, huge eyes) they all look like little kids.
They look cute; but the artwork suits them more in the anime- the only good thing about it.
In manga situations are better explored.But the dialogue is weak too.

I don't see difference.Well,anime is just a japanese term for 'cartoon'.
sharecartoons are usually ment to be funny, or sarcastic. Where as anime may at times be those things, it so much more. And Anime not only refers to the show itself, but the reacuring style. There's a huge argument for this on many anime forums, and i know there is more to this argument, but i don't know what they were. most hardcore anime fans probaby would be on anime sight.
I never developed a full arguement part of it sort of a judgement call. The way i base it, it has more to do with the conotation of the word cartoon. I guess i would put it this way. animation is the general term for any thing not live action. anime is a type of animation and so are cartoons, but there not the same thing.
And no, anime is not the japanese word for cartoon. It is said commonly that anime is short for animation, but i think i remember reading somewhere that that fact was false. Ha, I'm contradicting my self, oh well. Oh if you say all animations are cartoons, i swear i'll scream, not much of a threat but there's not much i could do considering this is an online forum.

shareNot going to bother getting sidetracked with some previous stuff, but Yu Yu Hakusho is a great anime, it's like Street Level DBZ, awesome more low level brawling with better animation, instead of godly battles of epic proportion. Yu Yu and Gundam Wing are my two favorite anime series, both oddly enough animes that have been released in america which normally Otaku's like myself favor more rare animes that have not been released much over here.

Anime and cartoon aren't the same thing and cartoons don't suck for not being animes.
Though anime wanna-be shows do: "Totally Spies" As a cartoon, it's okay, but people have been considering it as an anime- which gets on my freakin nerves!

shareIn my opinion this is the second best action-anime ever next to DBZ. Just seen the chapter black saga for the first time too, *LOVE* this show.

shareyup, I think that Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best anime ever created:) but probably not "the" best one. My top three are 1. Wolf's Rain, 2. Avatar the last airbender, 3. Yu Yu Hakusho. And yes, avatar counts as anime, it was animated in Korea so it counts as Korean anime:3.
