Yukina and Hiei

Do you think Hiei would ever tell Yukina the truth about him being her brother?

reply

Maybe eventually...but I'm not sure. Hiei's hard to read, I'm not sure whether he's the kind of person (or whatever he is) that would want to tell her the truth.

He doesn't exactly tell her, but in the english version, by the way she reacts to something he says to her, people assume she knows.

If you watch the uncut in Japanese with the subtitles on, she actually slips and calls him brother in one of the Three Kings episodes.

It's heavily implied in the Eizou Hakusho "OP & ED Encyclopedia" epilogue, which is set a year after the series ends, that Yukina is aware Hiei is her brother. When he finally musters the courage to return her gem, she tells him to keep it in spite of being told her brother is dead, walking off in more of a calmed peace than tragic sorrow. Genkai then makes it clear to Hiei his sister isn't the naive child he may've once thought of her, all but explicitly saying she's figured out the truth for herself. More closure than in "To the Future".

Honestly no
I actually got to meet Hiei's Voice actor, he was awesome, having said that, I actually asked him the question. I told him it was more of a question for his character, and as Hiei he responded and it wasn't just a nice no, lol. i actually have footage on a camcorder of him giving me an answer in Hiei's voice too.

I found this on youtube, basically Hiei comes back and tries to tell her that her brother is dead and says she should take her tear gem back, and she tells him to keep it. This was sometime after the series ended.

She eventually figures it out in her heart. She doesn't need the verbal confirmation.
