What's the difference . . .

between this version and the version from Time/Life titled "Vietnam An American History?" All I can see is different is that that version is only 3 discs with episode's missing. Otherwise it's exactly the same that I can tell. Does anybody have a better insight than me? I'm probably way off on my research (I usually am).
