When it comes to the most recognizable wrestling television show in the world, Monday Night Raw tops the list. The flagship show of the WWE has been on the air since 1993, setting records along the way to becoming the longest running weekly episodic TV show in history.

The very first episode of WWE Raw happened back in January 1993 and throughout the years, the show would evolve and change with the times. Back then, the concept of a weekly live wrestling show was a unheard of. The WWF's main television shows were recap shows or talk shows, with the in-ring action coming from taped events or house shows (with the exception of special shows such as Saturday Night's Main Event). Weekly live wrestling had not been attempted yet within the United States, and Vince McMahon was prepared to give it a shot. Replacing the WWF's previous show "Prime Time Wrestling", Monday Night Raw made it's debut on the USA Network, changing the landscape of weekly wrestling shows forever.

In this mini documentary from Wrestling Bios, we take a look at the very first episode of Monday Night Raw. Along with every match, we also take a look at every segment and we also discuss the concept of this new weekly wrestling show. Topics covered include:
