I hate the way the US wrecked this show...

.. I was actually looking forward to watching it but they messed with the story so much I stopped watching. To think in the UK version Stuart would ever fall in with the annoying Nathan is just ridiculous! Would have wrecked the very being of Stuart.
Gale plays Brian well but falling in with the annoying Justin was the death of the show for me, it bombed in the UK and I know why. The only similarity is that Justin and Nathan are both annoying as each other!

Please USA, if you are going to remake Brit shows, don't bother doing it this way again. Ever. I'm pissed it was called Queer As Folk at all!

I liked it at first, because it was new and different for US TV. I had not seen the British series, and, in fact, didn't see that one until this summer. I agree that Gale Harold was quite good, but I also think that the entire US cast was better at the beginning, when the scripts were more closely mirroring the UK series. By the end, the thing was so damn precious I could hardly stand it. Precious, and like silly soft-core porn. Oh, and ickily politically correct, as well.

QAF USA..... In sorry that to brits the US version sucks to you, but I'm so glad they did , I personally love it. If in doubt go to the usa site and see how much praise it has. Sure your version was 1st, and of course they had to change it, to accomidate this culture, but I for one am so thankful it was remade, it changed my life:)

I watched the US version when it first aired and loved every minute of it. I actually watch it through once every few years and it is the only show I have ever watched more than once.
During my quarantine this year I watched the UK version and it was alright but was tragically less fabulous than its US counterpart. Which is why I am guessing it only lasted ten episodes, instead of 83.....
