amusing observation about watching these old episodes

We know that they have celebrity guests on the show. Maybe it's due to my age having grown up in the 1980's and not old enough to remember well these people when they were famous, but I watch these repeat episodes and, if you did not tell me which was the celebrity and which was the contestant, in many cases, I would not know the difference! It seems that many of those who were famous in the 1980's are no longer famous now.

Well, they couldn't get a burt reynolds or sly stallone on their every day. IT's mostly people that were supporting actors in some movies or in tv shows of that time period.

Did those guys you mentioned actually do the show? I know Burt Reynolds was a frequent participant on Win, Lose or Draw, but I haven't seen him on other game shows. Can you IMAGINE Sylvester Stallone on this game show? He would be terrible at it, just about as unintelligible as Ozzy Osbourne, especially back then.

I don't recognize the celebrities very often, though I do know people like Markie Post and Nipsey Russel. I also recognized the guy who played Tackleberry in the Police Academy movies without having to be told who he was. Like another poster said, a lot of the others were actors from soap operas or forgotten TV shows of that era like St. Elsewhere.

Burt Reynolds actually produced win, lose or Draw. That's why you saw him on all those episodes. The thing with the Pyramid was, that you actually had to try out for it if you were a celebrity I think. They didn't just let anybody on the show because they were a celebrity. If they sucked, they didn't get on the show. That's why you really don't see any bad players on it. In the 70's, they did let bad players on it. But in the 80's, players had that game down to a science and you saw mostly good play.

I grew up in the eighties and I agree. However, I do recognize most of the stars. A lot of them are nobodies now, but back then were big. I guess in ten years, it might be the same for the stars of today. You think?

Considering who is popular today, I really hope so!

the celebs were always seated on the left side of the table, from the viewer's standpoint.
