Some of the celebrites were mean to the contestants.

I have been watching the repeat episodes on GSN for quite some time now and it seems to me that some of the celebrities on the show were real pushy towards the contestants. Adrienne Barbeu seemed real pushy and Richard Kline was another celebrity who could be kind of nasty. The celebrity who was the worst was Stuart Damon who play Alan Quartemaine on General Hospital. The contestants are most likely nervous enough and to have the stars act this way wasn't right. Dick Clark even went so far as to chastise Richard Kline for talking to a contestant rudely. Charles Siebert seemed very sweet. So did Betty White and Vicki Lawrence. A lot of the other ones were okay. But I would hate to be on a game show with some of the stuck up stars.

Adrienne was the best female player, and always tried hard for her partner. Very serious player.

I think Dick Clark could be kind of insensitive to the female contestants when he would drool over the celebrity women. For example, he was obviously really attracted to Marky Post and would comment on her outfits and tell her how beautiful she looked, kind of gushing over her. Then he'd move to the "normal" woman sitting next to her and ask what she did for a living. You could tell the contestant felt uncomfortable and dowdy. I don't think he meant to come off that way, but he did, and he did it a lot.

Wow Vicki and Betty are the sweetest people you really have bad taste in character. The exchange between Dick and Vicki were a joke they were very good friends they said this many times in interviews wow

Now, That's The Awful Thought I Ever Heard & Seen. Spunky Girl, Why Did You Believe in that? That's No Way To Treat The Show like That and That's Unfair & Uncalled For. I Wish You Never Create this subject and show all the respect of the guest stars and the show please.

The celebrities weren't being mean. Some of the celebrity players took the game VERY seriously (Adrienne Barbeau being one of them) and wanted to win as much as their civilian partners. Loretta Swit, Henry Polic II are two more who come to mind, who may have appeared to be bossy, but they were great players who wanted to win. If I was back on the show, I would LOVE to play with any one of them.

Most of the celebrities who played "Pyramid" when the show was produced in New York, were good game players, and since the game was pretty demanding, wouldn't put their reputations at risk if they couldn't play the game.
