A few thing straightened out...

I'll try to clear up the confusing mess that is the series' format, as people have asked questions about it here. It's two individuals serials (the first was just My Little Pony in 1984, the second Escape From Catrina in 1985). The style and cast changed somewhat between the two, and then again for My Little Pony: The Movie (1986). After this, the series began called 'My Little Pony and Friends', which combines a 'My Little Pony' segment with a totally unrelated one - Potato Head Kids, Moondreamers, or Glo Friends. This ran for *two* seasons, one of 50 episodes in 1986 (including a two-part repeat of the first special renamed 'Rescue From Midnight Castle') one of just 15 in 1987 (including a two-part repeat of Escape From Katrina).

There is no third season. There was a *completely different show* made in 1992 called My Little Pony Tales. None of the cast, crew or chracters are the same as in 'My Little Pony 'n Friends', and even the storyline bears little resemblence, as the ponies are now pretty much human girls with four legs.

MOONDREAMERS! Holy c**p! I have been trying to remember the name of that show for twenty years! I always wanted to see it but it was hardly ever on! That's the one with the people living in space and there were long ribbony "roads with manhole covers in them? and the toys had freakishly large heads and glowed in the dark?
(...now if I could only remember that live-action camp show I saw in like 1983 I would be truly content)

Are you referring to "Salute Your Shorts" on Nickelodeon in the early '90s?

No, it's not "Salute Your Shorts" this is WAY before that time...Plus we didn't have cable back then, anyway. I do remember watching SYS with my cousins occasionally though...that was pretty funny. This show wasn't sitcom-like, it had that '70's/'80s washed-out drama look (like they were trying to achieve in the look of Freaks and Geeks)

Eureka! I finally figured out what that camp show is. It was called "High Feather" and according to its message board only eight other people in the world remember it.

okay so its starting to come back to me little by little...i kind of remember glo friends, potatoe kids, and moonwhatevrs...what were they sbout can anyone describe them? sounds familiar

i am trying to figure out what series i watched: mpt or mlpaf...i think i watched both...
