bad and good

i am a big fan of jackie chan and the only reason i watch half of his movies are for the stunts and fight scenes. this movie has awesome fight scenes. brad allen is amazing. a good watch if you dont mind skipping scenes.

It's a shame that many of the jumping kicks that Jackie did were clearly wire-assisted (you can tell by the way he 'floats' when he does them when compared to films from his younger years, when he didn't need to use them).

You need allways wires if youre gonna perform combo airkicks and make the fight look pretty, and that is Jackies point, make it beautiful. In this movie id said that Jackie is in hes best shape ever.

The film has his weak points but the(few) fight scenes are just a demostration of the Jackie style:ballet fighting !
And the point is the 2 fights vs Brad Allan(his disciple)wher we can see that the 2 men know perfectly each others and delivers some complex choregraphy.
So yes, there are some wires but watch carefully some of the moves that you think there is a wire but actually not!
Watch again and you'll see some really amazing moves(dance & capoeira).

The fighting was really awesome, I didn't think it was gonna have any fighting at all except the sparring match with Allen. As for the rest of the movie, eh, it was kind of cute. I'm glad I saw it, even though the guy that dubbed over Jackie sounded like a black comedian doing a square white guy impression.

Well I'm half the man I used to be

Yeah this is probably the last good movie he made, before he started to get absorbed into hollywood and lose sight of why he made the movies in the first place. Accidental Spy is his second downfall, where he basically gets a stunt man to do his stunts for him... he basically doesn't care about his own craft anymore.
Just about making the movie fun and getting his paycheck.
