His parents express their disappointment in him but are confident he will make them proud the next time he goes on a mission. After giving much thought on what JHared said, Norm phones up the stake preisdent, a local bishop and a couple other LDS members to ask a series of questions regarding Jared. Norm soon suspects that Jared is keeping a big secret from the church and

At first, I was going to write this story in a novel, but then I later decided ti would work better in a screenplay.

Several months later,

Norm excuses himself to use the bathroom. A few minutes later, Jared goes top use the bathroom. Juts as he's about to go in, Norm comes out and advises him to read the note on the wall before going to the toilet.

Jared enters the bathroom and finds a poster on the wall advertising condoms. Thinking that Norm was making a joke, Jared enters the cuboid and sits himself down on the toilet. Whilst sitting on the toilet, a man enters the bathroom, only to run away again. After finsihing, Jared flushes the toilet but finds the handle broken. He then sees a note stuck to the wall beside him from Norm explaining that he broke the toilet handle, and he is suffering from diaherra. Jared lifts the toilet seat up to find a horrible site. The reason why eh couldn't smell it was due to his blocked up nose.

They return to their flat only to find the place crawling with ants. Its revealed that the plant pot, which somehow tumbled over and broke while they were out, has an ants nest inside it. They have someone called in to exterminate the ants and remove the nest.

The following day,

They get itno theiir rented car and set off to the temple. As they travel down a motorway, they run low on fuel and park up at a petrol station. Desperately needing the toilet, JKared asks Norm is he can fill up with for and pay. After filling up and paying, they resume their travel to the temple but soon breakdown on the motorway.

After finding the engine severely damaged, Norm realizes that he used the wrong pump to fill the engine up. There, a driver pulls over and fofers them assstance.

They explain they are LDS missionaries and are currently on their way to the london temple but their car has broken down. When asked by the driver where the temple is, Norm answers that he's calculated its 50 miles east. The driver offers to drive them there and makes a contacts soemone on his mobile phone to have someone tow their car. Whilst waiting, the driver checks his map and disocvers thst the temple is, in fact, 50 miles west, not east. He explains to to the pair they're going the wrong and they're never going to get to the temple if they keep heading east.

The fire captain singlehandley connects the hose to a main and is about to fire it, when, suddenly, he suffers a heart attack and collaspes. Jared performs CPR on him, whilst Norm decides to fire the hose at the fire. He shoots it but is unable to put the fire out. As he cotinues shooting the weater, the fire only enlarges. Norm realizes that the hose is shooting petrol, not water. The petrol catches fire and he drops the hose on the ground, pointing it at the pumps.

The fire hits the pumps, and they explode. While Jared carries the captain away from the fire, Norm sees a family trapped inside the shop. He breaks into the shop and manages to rescue them.

Other fire engines show up and put the fire out. The captain is taken to hospital, and the two missionaries are labeled as public heroes.

The missionary president personally speaks with Norm and Jared, expressing his gratitude that they or no one else were injured and instructs them both to bve extra careful from now on.

On their third morning as companions, Norm accidentally puts Jared's personal scriptures into the washing machine.
While Jared is in the toilet, Jessica's boyfriends confronts Norm and mistakes him for Jared, telling him to stay away from Jessica. Norm responds by telling him, "no, you've got the wrong person". Tony replies with, "no, you've got the wrong person", and he punches Norm in the face, giving him a black eye.

Tonys tells Norm that if he goes anywhere enar Jessica again, he will kill him. He warns him to stay away from Jessica and departs. Jared comes out to find what has happened. Later, the pair return to their apartment, only to find the place crawling with ants.
He reveals that he was there at that petrols tation when it was on fire and he, not only witnessed Norm blow up the pumps with the hose, but recorded it and has it allon video tape. He explains that, unless they go into her house, take the varse and deliver it to him within the next 48 hours, he will take the tape to the police.

Norm and Jared relucatantly agree to his terms, beleiving they have no other choice in the matter. Norm phones her up and asks if they can come to her house for a lesson. They arrive at her house. She and her new husband go into the kitchen to make them both a drink, the pair look around to find the vars

After snatching the varse annd putting it in their back pack, they explaint hat they need to leave at once. On their way, Norm stumbles over and breaks the varse.

They deliver the varse to him but he does not regcogise it. It turns out he was, in fact, refering to the woman that lived next door to her. He tells him that he will find another way to get the varse and reveals that although he did ee what happened at the petrol station but never recorded it, explaining he lied to make them think he had evidence.

Beliving his win on the scratch card is a miracle from God, Norm claims the cash and uses it to buy the varse from scotland and have it delivered to their apartment.

The following day, the varse is successfully
The officer drioves the pair over to to the temple and drop them off there. They meet up with the LDS group. After entering the temple and undergoing the ceremony inside the temple,

I'bve nmever personally been ona mission but I've been around missionaries long enough to have some idea of what its like to be one.

Read the story, and tell me what you think of it. Thanks

Plot Outline:

The story is set in the 80s, and if it was mad einto a movie, it would feel like an actual 80s movie.

Overall, it's an amiable road trip comedy drama

This is not anti-mormon. This does not insult or make fun of the LDS religion in anyway. I know some LDS might not like how these two characters are portrayed

Three Weeks Before Easter Sunday

Twenty year old Jared Jones is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, who's packing his bags and leaving home to go on a two year mission in Essex, London. Jared has just finished school and been promised a full time job as a carpenter, which he will start once he finishes his mission.

Having recently suffered a nasty cold, Jared's father gives him a packet of cough sweets for the trip down to Essex. Jared s family give him a goodbye gift- a new car. Jared thanks them and family drive him to Manors Railway Station and. Whilst waiting at the station, he sits on a bench and a chapter in the book of mormon. A group of teenagers approach him and start asking questions about him. He explains he's heading down to Essex to go on a two year mission for the LDS church. They respond with laughter and start making fun of him for it.

The train arrives and Jared, who's now in a fit of rage, boards the train and ends up sitting next to a guy, who introduces himself as Norman "Norm" Murphy. Norm begins asking Jared questions such as where he's heading. asks Jared where it is he's heading, but because of been ridiculed by the teenagers, Jared simply tells Norm that "he's going to a job interview down south".

Just as Norm is about to explain where's heading to, Jared interrupts him and explains that he's not in the conversational mood and would wish to read a private letter in silence. Norm happily accepts Jared's wish without a fuss. When Jared pulls out the packet of cough sweets his father gave him, Norm asks if he can have one, and Jared hands him one. Norm puts it in his mouth but spits his out his mouth, complaining about the taste. He opens a small bottle of irn brew bottle and drinks a bit of it. He then excuses himself to use the public bathroom on board the train and leaves behind the irn brew on the desk.

As Jared finishes reading his privat leter, the bottle slides off the desk and falls on his lap, getting irn brew all over his trousers. Enraged, Jared gets up and heads to the bathroom. Just as he's about to enter, Norm suddenly steps out and, before Jared can say anything, advises him to read the note on the wall before using the toilet. Norm then marches off, leaving Jared speechless. Upon entering the bathroom, Jared takes a look around and spots a poster on the wall advertising condoms.

Enraged, Jared enters the cubicle and sits himself down on the toilet. Someone enters the bathroom and something hitting the ground is heard. After finishing on the toilet, Jared pulls his trousers up and places the toilet lid down. He pulls the handle bar down, only to find it is broken. Unable to flush the toilet, Jared turns to his left and suddenly sees a note stuck on the wall above him. The note is written by Norm, who explains that he had a bad case of diagarra and accieetnally broke the toilet handle. Jared lifts the lid up to see the vile contents of the toilet bowl. Realizing he can't smell the mess because of his cold. He steps out the cubicle and slips over, falling into a pool of irn bru and banging his head on the floor. He sees the same irn bottle near him lying next to the bin.

He dries himself up with paper towels and finds he has a minor lump on his head. Quickly developing a headache, Jared exits the bathroom and sits himself down on his own. After resting his eyes, Jared soon falls asleep.

Jared wakes up to find himself in Sutton. Getting off the train at Sutton train station, Jared contacts the LDS Stake House in Essex to explain the situation. Eventually, an LDS member in Sutton meets with Jared and drives him all the way to Essex.

He gets dropped off at the Essex Stake House and finds he has missed the missionary fireside meeting. He then speaks alone with the missionary president. After learning that he cannot remove the irn brew stains out of his missionary uniform, he goes into the toilet and gives a pray. He expresses his fraustration over todays events and begis the Lord for him not to never once meet Norman Murphy over the next two years. Jared then goes to meet his first companion, whom turns out to Norman Murphy himself. Norman jokingly asks, "Could the world possibly be any smaller?"

It is revealed that Norman comes from the north of England, not too far from where Jarod lives, and has been a member of the church for the past year.

Norm and Jared are both given their nametag, map, handbook, diary journal and sent off to the market town fo Rayleigh.

They both arrive safely at the apartment that the church has rented and make themselves at home. Norman apologizes to Jared for everything happened back on the train. They both read the book of mormon, say a prayer and go to bed.

Norm begins sneezing excessively, expaining he suffers from hayfever. Just when Jared is about to explode in rage, Norm's sneezing stops completely. Just when everything goes quiet, Norm suddenly jumps out of bed and pukes all over Jared's bed. Exasperated, Jared throws a tantrum at Norm and expresses his fraustration at everything that has happened since boarding the train in Newcastle. Jared calms down and Norm apologizes for everything. Jared changes the bed sheets and the two go back to sleep.

The following Sunday morning, they both wake up and realize they've overslept. They rush at getting changed and set off to their local LDS chapel for sunday service. Upon arrival, they are greeted by all the members in the ward.
