everyone in the cul de sac is dead and in purgatory

It was a theory about the show presented in an article on cracked essentailly it said that all the kids are dead. Think about it no parents only mention they until the last episode never leave this little street. Another cool part of the theory is they all died during different time periods such as jimmy dying of lukiemia in 2000. Rolph dying in the 20's. It's all in this article 6 crazy theoires about childhood show. Ed Edd n Eddy is #2 even though reading the other ones this one is by far the coolest and craziest.

Heard this one before, still sounds better than the ending to LOST, lol.

...Doh!

Incorrect but interesting speculative theory...

No, that's seriously really interesting. I wish I could re-watch the show so I could re imagine everything in my mind now. That's neat.

I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves.

Interesting to speculate about but ultimately that's all it is, speculation, fit only for fanfics. There is absolutely nothing actually in the show itself that would hint at any of this, it's like saying it's all happening inside a character's mind--it may well be possible but there's no actual proof for it. (Plus the article gets at least one thing wrong since there's other characters who do have normal-colored tongues.)

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

I agree it probably wasn't a secret hidden message from the writers but it's still interesting to watch with this theory in mind.

One of the shows finest qualities. Setting it in a very simple, but also seemingly secluded and isolated area challenged the writers to get creative with the material.

Yea I agree it is kind of interesting but silly if you've seen what Antonucci said about these things when he explained them. The multi-colored tongues for instance is because of the fact that kids almost always eat junk food that changes their tongue color or how adults are not seen (except in maybe one episode although they are acknowledged and present in several episodes)because when kids are out and about or playing they don't really see any adults around. Almost like in Charlie Brown. But yea check it out

I love that theory, mostly because I heard it first as a creepypasta and it was a pretty damn good creepypasta.

But when you look at The Grim Adventures of the KND, you'll realize that it CANT be true unless EVERYONE is dead and in purgatory.

reply

I think that was just a crazy Cartoon Network one-off crossover thing.

reply

Pretty much this, none of the creators behind any of the Cartoon Cartoon shows intended for them to be apart of the same universe, they only had crossovers and nods to each other by demand of the network, and that some of the animators worked on more than one show. In regards to the KND/Billy and Mandy crossover both Tom Warburton and Maxwell Atoms worked on both shows together and are very good friends so the crossover was kind of inevitable.

Spider-Man 3. The Dark Knight Rises. Really, what's the difference?

I just heard about this theory thanks to a youtube video.

I found it very creative. Someone put a lot of thought into it.

I wonder if anyone's made it into a fanfiction:)
