Based on a True Story

Years ago, I have seen this movie on TV, and then sometime afterwards I watched a true crime documentary that has a similar story. I forget the names of the real people involved, but it was about a volatile relationship and the woman used alcohol to control her boyfriend. Eventually, he dies after falling off a cliff, but police suspect that she killed him.
