A lot of people have said that they think this is worse than Taxi and one of the worst films they've seen!! I really can't see their point of view at all. My only criticism was that i thought the wings on the car was a bit daft, but I found the film to be funny and also had plenty of action and car chases.

2 was even more fun, and FUN is what this film series is supposed to be. I think a lot of english speakers (inc. me) expect french films to be deeply passionate, drawn-out and meaningful, and when you see them just trying to be fun, care-free and cheesy, with the action of an american film, but much more charm, it can be confusing. I've only just heard there's a 3rd film, and the more fun and unrealistic the better.

shareI loved it all, and found it way more fun to watch than Taxi 1. I did not find the characters to be over-scipted or made to look ridiculous, I found the original characters to be fairly bland I encourage this character development.
And the wings were a great addition.
I liked it too, more than the first (but I saw 2 before 1). It's like a modern day Louis de Funès movie, with faster cars, machine guns and ninja's!
shareyeah i loved it also, saw 1 before 2 and i think theyre both fantstic. I agree that the movies are just good fun and to the people who think theyre too far fetched and silly.....theyre supposed to be! Some of the best foreign comedy ever by the fantastic luc besson.

I saw taxi 2 after taxi 1 and I thought that both were equaly good. Although I would've liked to see some nudity in the second one! Anyway It's a good, strong movie. I'm french so I got all the jokes but I understand that it might be a bit hard for a foreigner to understand all the inside jokes.
It's not meant to be taken seriously, it's a good light heated comedy.

i like 2 more then 1. and i like both more then 3 which really sucks. the story was REALLY bad. not that the first two have a great story or something but at least their stories have sense in it. unlike 3 which just... sucks.

Taxi 1 is MUCH better. I thought that it was ridiculous in a likeable way but I think 2 just takes the biscuit. It's a bit desperate and if I hear the word 'ninja' one more time...

I also think it is considerably better than Taxi 1. The opening "birth" incident alone is far funnier than anything in the original.
shareAnyone who says this is the worst film they've seen is just a loser craving attention. This movie kicks ass the way Hollywood action movies used to, and don't any more. I had a grin glued on my face throughout.
shareBoth 1 and 2 are very good. 1 has the better solid story and how its told, Luc Besson trademark, 2 has less of that but has better action, humor i find is also better then the first.
What brings two down a notch is the over the top stuff, car with wings, massive pile up of copcars, could have done without and it would have definitely been better then the first.
3 is utter crap and 4 didnt even bother to watch because of 3 lol.
