How did he get the giant mural out of his apartment?

I'm genuinely curious how he got the massive mural he made for guggenheim out of his apartment? That thing was like 20 feet long. Did they take it out a window or something? Would have made more sense to use multiple canvases. unless he took the canvas off the wood backing and rolled it up, which would have destroyed some of the paint.
