Liberties with science - and although they might not be as outlandish as something like Armageddon, at least Armageddon is fun and doesn't pull punches as blatantly as M2M does.

It had all the ingredients for a good movie except Brian Depalma. He is one of the worst directors of all time. Except for Scarface, I can't think of one good movie he did that wasn't some blatant Hitchcock ripoff. And this wasn't a Hitchcock sort of movie.

The movie had moments but not enough. The ending was tooooo long and the scene where Robbins dies is so slow. And Hollywood has the answer to the big bang theory. I guess planet earth is the only big blue marble out there.

over-the-top cheesy, especially the first 20 mins and the lovesick couple acting like theyre in junior high made me want to puke

Or how the guy from the 1st mission managed to survive all that time when there wasn't even a pressure seal on what was left of the first craft, just a tent of sort

haha yeah, not to mention how brutally cold it gets on mars. only thing i really enjoyed was the death scene, and the visuals of floating over mars. the rest is blahhh

Yeah all those Mars movies ignore facts like how cold it is or how thin the atmosphere is

What are they doing? Why do they come here?
Some kind of instinct, memory, what they used to do.

OH wow it sounds like all of you have been to mars and are experts. SO you know for a fact that you cant breath on Mars. we know this but its not been proven since we are not on the freaking planet. We know about a .1 percent of the Universe. So its POSSIBLE that we don't have the tech to detect some weird thing on Mars that helps us. YOU don't know till you go. NOW I'm sure you'd not be able to breath but I'm saying its possible cause we don't know anything.

Just accept it that we can know some things without actually trying it. We know we won't ever be able to travel to another galaxy because it's just too far away. Be my guest and try...

The film was just so bad. Many plot holes. Why not put on your helmet when the pressure is dropping? Such stupid things ruin this movie. All the scientifically incorrect essentials. wtf you just showed like 0.0000000001 percent of one chromosome and you're tellin me that part misses 3 chromosomes? Gtfo. Nobody on the set had the balls to tell the directors and producers that this was all completely wrong and shameful? All those *beep* scenes then. The typical "jealousy" of the one guy. The I won't leave without you. The I will now kill myself so you will leave without me. It was just awful. An example of what a good mvoie with mars as a setting is, is The Martian. It has it's flaws of course but not even close to this level of flaws.

Science fiction movies have to be kept as scientifically correct as possible. Else it is more of a space opera in my mind.
