Trying to identify another movie in space

This scene popped into my head recently & I was certain it was from Mission to Mars so I rented it & it wasn't the movie I was thinking of.
The scene is at the end of the movie (I think) & it shows a group of astronauts all floating away from each other in space. It's obvious they cannot be saved. I think one of the astronauts removes his helmet & his head explodes. It was quite gory & creepy. Can anyone name the movie I'm thinking of? It's driving me crazy!

"Can you picture what will be so limitless and free?" The End, The Doors.

Maybe you're mixing this with the movie "Outland", with Sean Connery (1981). It has people whose heads explode in space, I think...

You could be thinking of "Darkstar". An SF spoof/cult film from the 70's. Their ship, the Darkstar is blown up at the end(oh yeah, spoiler alert... :) ) and some of the crew were either outside or were blown clear, and float away. Nobody removes their helmets, though 1 crew member has an interesting final moment.

Red Planet

It's set on Mars and a guy does remove a helmet in it, and there I definitely some exploding.

I mistook this movie for Red Planet once also.

Sunshine had a similar scene but his head freezes

God that was so stupid. They're standing on the Sun's porch, yet he instantly FREEZES? All because of a misconception that "space is cold". It seems they forgot "stars are hot".

No head exploding in Red Planet

The only head that exploded in red planet was mine after I watched it
