complete dvd set is not complete?

I treated myself to the complete DVD set today and since it is raining cats and dogs I have been sitting watching it all.

It is as good as I remember it,this is KEN STOTT'S finest hour,he is great in this,he is only good in REBUS.
The rest of the cast is great also ,Caroline Catz is wasted in rubbish like MURDER IN SUBURBIA,MARC WARREN is now a big name but DAVID HAREWOOD should be better known,he is amazing as JOE ROBINSON.

People who say that only America can make gritty cop shows should watch this series.

I have only watched a few of the discs but already I am thinking that they have been edited for content or time.
Watching the episode WALKING ON WATER there is a scene I remember from the first tv transmission,a prostitute upsets her pimp by refusing the requests of a customer and she is beaten with a belt,I am sure that in the original show you actually saw her being beaten, but on the disc it is only hinted at.

I remember the scene shocked me when I first saw it,the DVD is an 18,so should not be sold to people under 18,but the tv transmission was on between 9 and 10 at night and could have been seen by anybody.
Perhaps the people who made the dvd are right to edit this scene but if they edit things out it is not a complete dvd boxed set is it ?
Actually showing the violence showed how evil the pimps were.

Im sure I remember a scene with Frank Vickers in one of the later series, he's with a hooker and asks her if she accepts cards, the hooker rhymes off Visa, Mastercard, Switch etc and then Vickers says "how about this one?" and flashes his warrant card :oD

Its either been cut or I dreamt it up at the time!!
