Himura's Japanese voice actor.. a female?

I was looking forward to seeing this, but every time Himura opens his/her mouth it annoys me. Why would they make a woman give voice to a 30-40 year-old man? I hear a woman talking every time Himura speaks, it's pissing me off. Especially because it otherwise looks like an okay anime.

Kenshin is 28 years old, not 40.

And yes, it's a female seiyuu (voice actress) who give him voice in the original japanese anime, Suzukaze Mayo.
It may be odd for western audiences, but it was very common in Japan in the 90's, think about Son Goku's voice, it's the same female seiyu through all Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.

I know female voices are more "accepted" in younger characters, like Naruto or Luffy (One Piece), but for some reason the studio thought that with a female seiyuu, Kenshin will have a more "neutral" voice.

Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native language.
