ties into x-files?

Millennium tied into X-Files a couple times... I was wondering if this show did the same? Any connection what so ever?

Not in any sort of crossover story way but a lot of the actors from the other Ten Thirteen shows appeared in "Harsh Realm". If the show would have lasted longer I imagine they would have crossed it over with "The X-Files" eventually.

someone told me the episode "First Person Shooter" was related to Harsh Realm. They do seem to have similar plot..

According to Chris Carter's comments on the DVD, this was to be a different world from his other series. He wanted this to go in a different direction altogether. Judging by what was created prior to cancellation, I would say he did that well.

FPS does have a similar theme, but it is handled in a very different way to this series.

It's been so long since I've seen this, but in one of the episodes two of the characters were sitting in a bar, and one tells the other something to the effect of "if you get out look up this guy named Fox Mulder".

I just saw in Gillian Anderson's website under her filmagraphy that she appeared in one of these episodes. Never saw it cause I think they took it off so quick.

she did voice overs I think.

Gillian Anderson did the voice over in the first episode explaining Harsh Realm. Lance Henrikson makes a cameo, Terry o'Quinn stars in the show and it is filmed in British Columbia. Quite a few x-Files/Millennium tie ins.
I also love it and if what Chris carter says is true that he came up with the idea before The Matrix was released he should be commended for forsight.
But now we need something new from him.

I don't think there are any ties to the X-Files through this show other than GA's voice over in the Pilot. There are a couple references to this show in X-Files. The Pilot is on TV in the season 7 episode Sein Und Zeit and Sarah-Jane Redmond is in the new IWTB movie and answers the phone as Agent Fossa.

Harsh Real did have some what Crossovers with The X-Files & Millennium "Scully did a Voice over, Frank Black made a comeo on Harsh Real "Pilot" episode, Agent Fossa from Harsh Real crossed over to "The X-Files: I Want to Believe"
