why?

iv just bought the complete series on dvd, and i think its a decent show, (ALOT better than the lone gunmen, aint seen millenium yet) the premise is great, i think the acting is actually good (i know scott bairstow has sex offences but my god he was gorgeous back in the day) but i think fox should have allowed chris carter to finish the intended 13 episode order, allowing him an end

but my question is chris carter knew it was cancelled without an ending so why didnt he have an x-files/harsh realm crossover like he did with millenium and TLG?
there was an episode in s07 of the x-file called 'first person shooter' which had similar aspects of harsh realm so thats the closest we have to a harsh realm crossover (i liked the ep, but it has been proven unpopular on the internet)

but imagine an episode where mulder and scully (in fact due to HR cancellation in 1999 the crossover would have probably included doggett and/or reyes) somehow going into harsh realm and meeting hobbes, pinnochio and florence and helping them take down santiago, it would have been brilliant IMO

its just a shame another show gets cancelled before a conclusion (by FOX no less)

i have MANY shows on DVD that were cancelled without resolution because they seem to be better than alot of the shows on currently

They must have gotten awfully close to something that SOMEONE didn't care to see any more related episodes on television, concerning or exploring, these "far out" themes. Remember, "terrorists" must enjoy good television as much as any American couch potato. The pilot episode of "The Lone Gunmen" has a preview of 9/11, for anyone who might be paying attention. It aired, I think, in February of 2001. It still baffles me how deeply buried this Chris Carter production is - in the fray of DOA series. But don't count on my critique. I caught the "theTotal Download" of all episodes while I was detoxing from soon-to-be popular poisons in 2000, in a hospital bed. Otherwise, I'd already have a book ready for publication.
