Reused plot with starting up a singing band.

Isn't it strange they were reusing the plot of two people starting up a band and singing specific songs. Quagmire and Peter did the same thing a couple seasons ago, in almost the same way. I am surprised they didn't reference it in the show (or maybe they did and I missed it).

Agreed. It's one thing to have similar plots, but this one seemed like a total retread. I guess Seth McFarlane loves writing short little songs and always looks for ways to shoehorn it into the scripts. The songs were funny though, so I didn't mind so much.

Well, if you want to be technical, the Peter|Quagmire singing duo episode, In Harmony's Way, never happened.
That was one of Vinny's episodes & since Stewie changed the timeline, he was never a part of the Griffin household so the writers couldn't give a call back to it.
You are right though, it was also similar to Lois & Peter's duo, Hand Full of Peter, from Deep Throats

I personally liked this episode better than Into Harmony's Way. You could also argue that rehashing that episode was intentional since Vinnie appeared at the very end of this episode.

Metallica, Iron Maiden and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fan.

Yeah but at least it was a good premier in a while.

Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh! Groceries.

It was Peter who said that right? When was that? Can't remember.

Damn, I'm thirsty, I want a beer! What about you, you want a beer?!

reply

It was a cut-away of Stewie as a hideous hybrid of Peter and Lois!

They've been reusing old storylines for a while now. They're getting lazy. I'm pretty sure that Peter and Quagmire starting a band storyline wasn't the first time they did a story like that either.

At least it was better than ever.
