Wow, this board is dead

No threads on the new episode.

The board sometimes picks up after the West Coast airing but I've noticed in the last few seasons Family Guy fans aren't compelled to jump online and discuss the newest episodes.
Comparing it to South Park for example, there were over a hundred active threads a week after their premiere, right before tonight's episode there were 29 active threads and most of those weren't about last weeks episode.

reply

That's because nobody cares about the new episodes to compare them to other shows.

reply

Sad. This board can be more active a lot of times.

I watched the episode last night, but I really couldn't think of anything to say about it. It was just blah.

reply

Because the show sucks badly nowadays. 1st season was epic, dunno how they cancelled it. Season 2 till 6-7 was prety good at times then it started to decline year after year.

It's just horrible now

reply

I didn't laugh at this week's. It was OK; nothing mindblowing, just standard fare. Needed more cutaways.

reply

All of the later seasons are great.

Personally I don't care for Nostalgia. I watched every episode of Family Guy no matter how crazy it gets & still laughed at everything.

I stopped watching new episodes in Season 12, caught the episode where they killed Brian and replaced him with Vinny -- and then I tuned out for good.

I used to love this show, and am currently making my way through it on Netflix, but I do not view this as must watch anymore. Maybe it's because I'm older and my tastes in TV programming have become refined. I don't even watch The Simpsons anymore, either.

Family Guy isn't the show I fell in love with, and then despised Fox for taking it away.

reply

Brian came back two episodes later.

reply

But I respect your opinion.
