Unlike what a lot of people say, Chris actually gets an acceptable amount of screentime. It feels like nowadays he has at least 3 episodes around him each season, and is involved in plenty of subplots as well.

But Meg on the other hand just seems to disappear into the background more and more... That's pretty unfortunate! I hope they have at least 1 or 2 episodes cooked up this season which are about her.

I read that Meg will join a roller derby team.

Sure?
They already did that on American Dad with the daughter joining a roller derby team in the episode "LGBSteve". (season 12, episode 7)

Seems like it.

I just believe she's had one *beep* line only, and the joke it was used for wasn't even memorable. In the latest episode she did appear, but didn't speak a single word.

She did get reduced to only appearing at her recital which Peter bailed on last episode.
