Good, but still somewhat disappointing

I like that they poked fun at having Brian killed off, but there were so many missed opportunitites for meta jokes that it really bothered me. Referencing James Woods' hate of David Space, Patrick Warburton and Spade starring in Rules Of Engagement, Lacey Chabert as Meg before Mila Kunis took over, poking fun at the use of sentimental music in emotional scenes (which was really aggravating since it happened in a scene where they filmed "live"), Lois cheating on Peter several times, like with Bill Clinton for instance (There could've been a joke about it wasn't part of actual episodes or something)... Man, there were just too many missed opportunities!

It was good, but it could have been great.

Why does James Woods hate David Spade?

reply

I'm referring to how that's a joke in Back To The Woods. Maybe he does in real life, I don't know.

reply

I agree, in short it was a rather lazy episode.

As Family guy episodes goes it was the equivalent of listening to lift music for 29 minutes.

reply

It was very good to me.

reply

I thought it was a cool episode. It's probably one of my favorite modern episodes.
