Does anyone know what has happened to John Matthews? I can't understand why this brilliant young writer/director has no new work listed on IMDB or any presence on Google. I find this rather baffling.

Don't know, but I too would be interested to hear. I've just seen Urbania for the first time, and I think it's an amazing movie -- very well shot and strongly directed. I hope he does a lot more film work.

He IS NOT DEAD!
After I wrote my previous post I actually searched and found a musician John Matthews directed a music video for. I wrote him and he said that John actually attended his wedding last year!
So, no way he is dead. Someone with a sick mind posted a lie and deleted it (maybe he felt guilty?).
Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
I'm glad he's still here...this was a good movie, and I wish he'd make more :).
