Flawed

Think of it as being an alternate universe, kinda like that episode of Star Trek where the crew are all bad guys.

they can have children until they die for the first time.

just like they can age as normal until they die for the first time.

there is nothing special or restricted about them until the first death, than their age locks down and they cannot have kids and they live forever until their head comes off or they are the last one.

the last one alive can have children and becomes immortal.

there is also speculation that even if only one is alive and has "won the prize" what happens if another is born. this could in theory lead to all types of alternate universe stories.

anyway, none of the films takes the others too seriously anyway or they would have had to stop with the first one after he "wins" at the end and became mortal

than poof theres the series and you find out tons of others are still alive... and dont even try to decipher the various movies all of which follow their own timeline that seems to ignore each other...

anyway, now i havent seen this animated movie so i dont know when it claims he had a kid or where that kids been for X number of years but given how loose the story has been in the live action films it doesnt shock me that the animated one is just as far flung

NOWHERE is it EVER stated that Quentin MacLeod is Connor's son. If you would've actually bothered to watch this with your eyes and ears OPEN, you'ld have realized that the Connor MacLeod shown was BEHEADED by Kortan over 600 years BEFORE Quentin was born! And the Ramirez character is NOT the SAME Ramirez from the first 2 Highlander live action films. Just like with Duncan MacLeod and Quentin MacLeod in relation to Connor MacLeod, Don Vinciente Marino Ramirez is a different character from Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez(aka Tak-Ne).
