Kinds Of Hours And Days They Were Supposed To Have Worked?

Did they ever say how many hours they put in on a daily basis? Was it supposed to be like a 9am-5pm, Mon.-Fri. job, or was it supposed to have been longer hours or days?

In the beginning of the movie the Jim Young character tells Seth Davis that good brokers make 700 calls a day. That isn't possible, since if a broker worked a 16 hour day, that is 1.37 calls per second. But he also at another time said if you wanted regular hours and vacations to go teach school. Still, I'd guess these brokers were putting in 14+ hours per day and making 5 - 10 calls a minute minimum, including weekends. They were money hungry.
