Stories Should Have Been Like The Comic Books

I wish the cartoons had been more like the thirteen issues of the Marvel comic book adaptation, or the giant treasury edition, in which the Yogi Yahooeys and the Really Rottens were thrust into the Flintstones era and had a stone age laff-a-lympics (nevermind that Fred and Barney made frequent appearances on the cartoon show).

Issue three where 3 members of each team were abducted by an alien to have his own games and he told the competitors that they were wearing gravity belts, when in fact the belts sapped their ability to compete, and it took a stowaway Booboo to upset the situation.

And strangely enough, issue eight, the Purple Pig Puzzle, is a good one too.

I guess by the time of the comic book, the cartoon was a done deal.

The comic book at least benefited from the failure of the cartoon.
