Third DVD release coming 7/17/12

It was just announced today that Laff-a-lympics will receive a 3rd DVD release. There are a few copies in this release from the first 2 releases; however, considering that there are 12 episodes in total on this set, we're definitely getting several new previously unreleased eps.

I was originally not going to buy this, as i was trying to lobby for WA to get the series, but in all honesty i think it's best we buy this set.

I'm sorry to those who bought the first two volumes, but this set has 12 of the 24 total episodes (4 of which were on the first two volumes)

If anything our best shot is to buy this DVD and ask the WA's facebook, twitter and WHV's twitter to send the word we want a second set to follow this one with the remaining 12 episodes.

I really don't think they are gonna go back to the volumes or let the WA do a complete series any time soon, so i say asking for 12 on this one and 12 on another set is the best we are going to get.

I refuse to argue on IMDB until the general populous actually uses their brains

I asked the WA facebook if they had any knowledge to impart. They said they didn't have any definitive answer for sure, so that can be interpreted in two ways since they didn't say no.

WHV may be playing around with the idea of doing it themselves or the WA may in fact want to do a companion set to Spooky Games or finish up the volumes themselves if they get clearance.

Whatever the plans might be after this release it's clear it's not settled 100% or else we wouldn't still have questions, so as i said. Let's buy this set, ask to the WHV twitter, WB facebook and possibly even the WA facebook or twitter to pass things on.

Let's see if we can stir up WHV to give us the rest of the series and who knows it may make them reconsider finishing up the rest of the Scooby shows

EDIT: 1-15-2014

It's been a while since this post. The period for the 2014 winter games is passed and no secondary set, so it now looks like we wait for the 2016 games.

However the big news since then is WHV has really gone back to some season sets. 2013 saw them finish the Super Friends and start Tom and Jerry Kids. And this year they are starting Flintstone Kids. It appears hoping they'll get back to give us the rest of them was not all in vain.

And given WA still can't touch the scoobys, WHV must still have some plans in mind. Otherwise those shows connected to Scooby would have been sent over to WA by now like Captain Caveman (and to date they have not)

EDIT: 2-26-2014

Apparently at the end of the last year WB made a move that removed any fear i had on this issue. On WBshop you can go see they renamed the set Spooky games into "Laff-a-lympics: The Complete First Collection". The only reason this would make sense is if they planned to market a second set with the shows other 12 episodes at some point as the complete second collection. And my bet is for 2016.

WHV only seems to be doing one season/season style HB release per year. I hope this pattern increases but it's the pattern we have to go with (of course not baring all the random collections they put out for scooby doo, smurfs and tom and jerry regularly throughout the year.)
