It wasn't that bad.
T-3 wasn't the worst sequel I've ever seen. The f/x and CGI were pretty good and the best part about it was.... NO EDWARD FURLONG!

shareThe reason hard core fans hate this movie is because it goes back to the time travel rules of the first were time is going to happen rather you like it or not you can affect it but it will correct itself by going with this time travel idea it makes the second seem useless but once you get past that its a good popcorn movie its not a bad movie but they took terminator an turned it from this heartfelt drama action horror an turned it into a popcorn action block buster its not bad but this film dosent fit the style of the first two its a totally different film

Do you need it explaining? crazy warmonger scientists in labs made it. Like that Dyson fella.
I really liked the ending of T3 , it was a surprise to me it turned out that way when i first watched it.
The worst bit was the magically remote controlled cars.
Well maybe not but even T1 made it clear that the remaining bits of the Terminator were what lead to judgment day. But I am not arguing. I prefer T1 and T2 to T3 but I still enjoy watching T3. Too bad we didn't get a better Future War movie.
shareWatching it today, it’s good. It was just at that time, T-2 was still in people’s minds.
shareIt was the worst sequel until 2009, and then 2015 and then 2019.
shareT3 is awesome.
shareConcept was a re-tread, execution was wobbly.
i. The in-your-face humour was a misfire although I admit to getting a laugh out of it.
ii. I found Nick Stahl too different from Edward Furlong... not just physically, but emotionally. Furlong's Connor was this resourceful street-wise, smart ass. Stahl's Connor was soft and sensitive.
iii. Lokken was a bore and didn't project that air of stone cold menace like Robert Patrick, or even Schwarzenegger in the first one.
For me I thought Salvation was the better sequel and wished the series had continued with that thread. Bale was closer to the warrior that I felt Furlong's character would turn out to be.
