Specials TV Show

James Gunn recently said on his myspace that he'd love to do a Specials TV show like Joss did with Buffy, but he is way too busy.

My question is if he did...who would be the cast?

Who would come over from movie (Mr. Smart, US Bill) and who is too busy?(Rob Lowe, Jamie Kennedy, Thomas Hadden Church)

Ideas?

Depending on whose available for a seasonal commitment, I think you'd get the lesser known actors, but not Church, Brewster, Lowe NOR Kennedy to reprise their roles. Lowe having been on The West Wing, Church also having gotten Spiderman 3, Brewster I have no idea whay she's doing & Kennedy is hip-deep in his own delusional sh*t.

Brewster was on "Huff" but I think it got cancelled.

Sadly, the actor who played Mr. Smart died.

I would imagine if a show DID happen it would be an entirely different cast.

I would love to see a TV show based on this movie. I think that they would have to go with all new lineup, but given how the Super-groups in the movie have fluid rosters, not really a big deal.

Paget Brewster recently joined the cast of CBS's "Criminal Minds"

Shame that the actor who played Mr. Smart died. He was very good in that part -- even though I always say "Mr. Smart" seemed to have been written for Jack Black ( Just guessing but I can definitely see him in that role.)

Repetition is funny. Why ? Because repetition is funny.[/i]

True, but maybe get the guy who played "Otho" from Beetlejuice to be Mr. Smart......yeah. :)

Too bad about Jim Zulavic (He was a writer on "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment"). What about Seth McFarland as "Mr. Smart"? I could see him playing that character, using a "Stan Smith" type of voice (if he can take some time away his busy schedule). I saw some footage on TMZ of him hanging out with Rob Lowe.... hmmmm...
