Question: milk, bread and eggs

So when Solomon's family return to their shop after it had been looted, Solomon finds a food basket outside and looks at it with a pretty indecipherable expression on his face.
Any ideas about where the basket came from? "Kinder" gentile neighbours? Gaenor herself didn't seem to have time or opportunity to bring it.

The director stated the food symbolized humane qualities in the compassionate Welsh. Consider eggs, milk, and bread are the basics of the food groups. Perhaps it represents basic humanity versus intolerance.
