Judgement Day reference? and other movie references?

spoilers for Terminator 2 & Osmosis Jones obviously, but if you haven't seen either... meh.

When Thrax got dropped in the alcohol and he's trying to get out, was anyone else reminded of the T1000, and its 'death' scene? I got a good laugh out of that scene, cause I love it when filmmakers do that, even if it probably wasn't funny otherwise. Can anyone confirm that was what they were going for? I haven't seen this reference posted anywhere online yet.

There was also the obvious Matrix reference. Any others I may have missed? I would love for a chance to see the Thelma and Louise scene.

Right before Thrax died and he was fighting Ozzy and Ozzy split himself halfway in two and molded back together also reminded me of the T1000.
The part with the violin/cello guys playing Nearer my God to Thee right before Frank died was taken right out of Titanic.
Godfather spoof in the armpit scene.
The part when the mayor was looking through Frank's eyes and manually overrides his speech reminded me of Being John Malkovitch.
