the special effects are just awful. and that filter effect on the film...Christ Almighty


the attack of the clones music is pretty bad too

It hasn't aged too well. Good in it's time though, 'shame on spielberg' is a bit much.

I just saw it again after many years. I still liked it and think it holds up. Spielberg completed this not long after completing A.I. which started as a Kubrick production. The harsh whites and sterile feel are definitely Kubrick influenced as you almost think it is a Kubrick film.

It's not a "filter effect". This isn't Instagram. The look was achieved by bleaching the actual film. I have it on Blu-Ray and it's great.

Actually I believe what they did was a bleach bypass, so they didn't bleach the film print.

The way it looks is one of the biggest reasons why I think this film still holds up incredibly well. That "effect" they used for it does look overdone, but nevertheless it's visually pleasing imo.

Williams' music sure feels/sounds out of place in many scenes, I'll give you that.
