Ending of movie DVD was cut?

Hello, I just watched this movie on DVD for the very first time. I saw it on the theaters back in 1999 and been looking for the DVD for 11 years.

Now that I finally saw the movie again, I have a question: Is it me that don't remember well, or they cut the part where they write what happened to each character?

Explaining: At the end of the DVD movie, they write that Alexei was taken to the camp on the pacific island for 30 years and then he was released. NEXT THING: Credits.

But I can swear that when I watched it on the theater, they wrote more information about the others. I remember reading that Marie was in France, exchanging letters with Sasha, and something else which I can't recall.

Does anybody knows or remembers about that? If so, someone could PLEASE tell me what else it said?
