When the second-to-last bear falls into the pit, jump into it. You'll be warped to a secret level that will contain the rest of the level's boxes. Note: In the secret level, after you hit the checkpoint, there are 2 boxes that contain lives just out of camera shot on the top of the screen (to the right of the Aku Aku mask).
